This painting is called 'Carmichael Revisited' because
it's based on a scene the Group of Seven member painted
in 1939. It's of course a waterfall near Nellie Lake. I
have abstracted the scene considerably with lots of
scraped surface texture and collage. The photo is
good but doesn't quite pick up the richness of the
burnt orange tones. Lots of fun. I'm working hard
for an exhibition at the Pumphouse Art Centre in
Niagara on the Lake during the month of May.
